About Luna

We're seeking a dedicated and loving home for Luna, our beautiful 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, due to an upcoming move that unfortunately prevents us from bringing her with us. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and our top priority is finding her a home where she will be safe, happy, and truly loved. Luna is AKC-registered and comes with her AKC paperwork and full family tree. She is trained in basic commands, intelligent, and eager to please - all classic traits of the Belgian Malinois breed. Luna currently lives with other dogs and does well with them. With slow and proper introductions, we believe she can successfully transition into a home with other dogs. As a puppy, she was raised alongside two cats and got along well with them - she would play with them gently and respectfully. While she hasn't been around cats in recent years, her early experiences were very positive. She is also wonderful with children and currently lives in a household with kids aged 13 to 18. Luna naturally adapts to different energy levels - she's calm and cuddly with the older teens and playful and energetic with the younger ones. She's extremely loyal and bonds deeply with her people. Since Luna joined our family during COVID, she hasn't had much exposure to people outside of our household. She can be reserved or standoffish when we are present in social situations, but she does much better when introduced to new people in our absence. A professional trainer recently evaluated Luna and confirmed that she is social and well-mannered with others when given time to adjust - particularly around adult males. We're happy to provide the trainer's contact information for anyone interested in learning more about her temperament and behavior. We are not asking for a rehoming fee. Our only goal is to find Luna a safe, stable, and loving forever home where she can thrive. She would do best with someone who understands the breed, can give her the time and patience she needs to warm up, and is ready to welcome a devoted companion into their life.
