Walks slowly on a leash. Treat motivated. Takes treats nicely Barney is a 10y German shepherd/Corgi mix and weighs 41lbs. This sweet senior boy was found alone and brought to the shelter on October 13th. Despite his pain and confusion, he allowed all handling. He isn't asking for much - just a soft bed, gentle hands, and the chance to live out his days surrounded by compassion instead of concrete walls. His medical notes show multiple health challenges - including arthritis, skin and dental disease, and a likely testicular tumor that needs medical attention beyond what the shelter can provide. He moves with stiffness in his legs, yet still musters the strength to greet his caretakers. He needs immediate medical evaluation, comfort, and care that can only be given in a home with a foster. Without one, his time will end far too soon. If you have a quiet home and a caring heart, please open it to this deserving senior. He doesn't need years - he just needs a chance.
