Update on Bear Poor Bear is still waiting for his happily ever after. I can't believe this sweet boy hasn't been scooped up yet. My heart breaks knowing he spends almost every day waiting , crated for 23 hours at a time. No dog deserves that kind of life. I'm praying that this Thanksgiving, Bear finally gets something to be thankful for a warm home, a soft bed, and a person to love him the way he deserves. When Bear comes out of his crate, he lights up like a happy hippo - full of joy, wiggling, and pure love. You can't help but smile watching him. He truly is the whole package. Please, if you can foster or adopt Bear, reach out. He's been waiting far too long for his chance at happiness. Let's give him the Thanksgiving miracle he's been hoping for. STILL DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! How many times can one heart be broken and still keep loving? Sweet Bear has been betrayed by humans again and again - yet he still loves with his whole heart. He doesn't understand why the people he trusted and adored for over three years could just throw him away. When his owners split up, neither took responsibility for him. the one who loved them most. They should have been fighting to keep him, not leaving him behind like the rest of the things tossed to the curb. Thankfully, kind advocates stepped in before he could be brought to a shelter - where he would have likely faced euthanasia. But since then, Bear has been living in a kennel for over a year. waiting. Hoping. Watching time pass by, wondering if anyone will ever choose him. He's not living - he's just existing, spending nearly 20 hours a day alone behind a kennel door. This beautiful soul, with so much love and joy to give, deserves more than this lonely life. Bear is built solid like his name - strong and handsome - but his heart is even more solid in love. When he runs, his adorable bounce reminds you of a happy little hippo. He's goofy, loyal, affectionate, and full of life when given the chance. Yet he's constantly overlooked. Maybe it's because he's a black dog - and sadly, black dogs are the most overlooked and euthanized in shelters. But we see him. We know how special he is. And we won't stop fighting for him.
