About Freya

Freya is a family friendly dog who loves to play keep-away with her tire, get lots of pets, and explore the outdoors. She knows 'sit' and 'go to kennel' which is her indoor crate OR an outdoor kennel with her dog house. She treat-trains fairly easily but requires consistent work on recall/come when called. She loves pupperoni the most but any treats get her excited. She likes to jump in a kiddie pool in the summer but does not like baths, though she will tolerate it. She needs sedation before going to the vet. She was heartworm positive in 2024 but recently tested negative this summer (documentation can be provided). She gets along with most dogs but can be aggressive with cats. She has medium to high reactivity towards strangers- mostly barking- but she has never bitten anyone. Her main challenge is climbing and jumping over 4ft chain link fencing. She wants so badly to explore. She needs more leash training and requires a harness. She will pull her head out of collars. She will walk on a lead especially if treats are involved. She is a good dog with a good temperament and wants to be loved.
