Since intake, GBoy has struggled with being handled for medical exams. He has been in playgroup and is noted as not playing, being selective with dogs, and prefering to interact with people. Volunteers have been able to take him out but he is selective with people and is struggling in the shelter. GBoy must be adopted or rescued by EOD Sunday 10/19 by 4pm!! Volunteer notes:10/11/25: I observed GBOY barking towards a staff member while in his kennel, when I came into view he quieted down. I leashed GBOY at his kennel door without an issue, put his head right in lead. He kept pretty good pace with me walking to the yard, not too much pull. Did not react when passing dogs in kennels. We lapped for a while and he showed nice leash manners, stayed pretty close to my side. I dropped the leash and encouraged him to engage in play, he got excited and ran around a bit. Showed him the ball which perked him up more and we played fetch. Didn`t guard the ball and was content to lay on the ground chewing on it after a few tosses. Would come over when I called him and took treats from my hand then licked my palms. Let me pet his head, neck and sides.
