About Jack

Jack is a very loving boy however is reactive with some dogs, some kids and some adults, not everyone though. He is almost 50% American Bully and about 25% Pittie with a couple of other mixes in there. I adopted him last year when he was 4 months old, we have been a work in progress ever since then as far as his reactivity to some dogs and some people. I sent him through a board and train, needless to say he is excellent on his basic commands and even a few tricks but failed with the reactivity training. We are avid walkers/hikers and when we lost our boxer to cancer, I thought he would be the perfect energy for me. He does love to hike, however with his reactivity he deserves to be in a home that just being home makes everyone happy, a backyard and some tug o' war toys just puts him on cloud 9. It is breaking my heart and brought many tears that I cannot offer him to be just a stay-at-home dog, I love this boy so much he has a wonderful personality. He may get along meeting another dog off leash, on leash would be a no go. He has played well with friends and family dogs when introduced off leash. He has showed some aggression towards a few kids so no young kids would be best. We have a kitty who he wants to play with so bad, he has chased her wanting to play but never aggressive towards her as if she were prey, she just is a typical kitty and wants to be left alone. I do not know his history before I adopted him, but it didn't matter to me I was invested; however I am lost without a hiking buddy and my guilt for him is overwhelming. He needs to be in a home that can give him lots of attention and that understands the bully breed. He is current on all vaccines and is microchipped, crate trained and of course potty trained. He really is a huge lover if he is not reactive to you.
