Hi, I'm Screech! Age: Approx. 3 months Gender: Male Breed: Domestic Short Hair Favorites: Snuggling with people, exploring the cat room, comfy beds Energy level: Moderate Other important info about me: When I came to the shelter it was clear to the staff that something wasn't quite right! I was happy, purring, and active, but I wasn't able to jump and my back legs kept slipping out from under me. They took me to the vet and while they can't say for sure, it looks like I may have had a previous hip fracture that has already fused together. What does all of this mean? Basically, I'm a mostly normal kitty that just has some minor mobility issues! I've actually improved quite a bit since arriving at the shelter, and can walk well, jump down to the floor from my kennel, and play just like any other cat. I still can't jump up onto things, and I can't move part of my tail. But I don't feel any pain, and I'm the happiest, snuggliest little guy that can live a completely normal life! I appear to get along well with people of all ages and other cats, and since I am young I can learn to be friends with dogs as well.
