Who needs a permanent puppy fix?! I mean just look at that face?!?!? We rescued Poppy literally at the 11th hour. She was brought to a shelter as a stray and tested positive for parvo. With no quarantine facilities at the shelter, she was put in line for immediate euthanasia. When we say literally the 11th hour, we mean a last minute rescue. You can't get more last minute than learning about her fate 10 minutes from her scheduled euthanasia. Parvo is deadly and very contagious. Poor Poppy was one very sick, little 6lb puppy. We had to move fast. A sweet volunteer immediately stepped up to transport her to CARE for us. Luckily CARE had the new parvo anti-viral and we didn't hesitate at the extra expense because we knew it could mean life or death. After 6 days at CARE and weeks recovering with her amazing foster family, she's ready to find her happily ever after; it's time to find this precious girl her forever home! So now Poppy is a thriving 15lb happy girl! She is about 4-5 months old- a lab/pit mix who loves to snuggle! She has the perfect mix of play/fun energy and then she crashes. Her foster family has done ALL of the hard work for whoever adopts this sweet girl. She's crate trained, will hang out in a pen while chaos goes on around her (lots of kids at the foster home), she loves car rides and is 90% potty trained!!! She is great with other dogs, but would be fine by herself. She will be the perfect addition to any family or companion for an individual. If interested in possibly adopting her, please go to www.freedomfarmrescue.com to fill out an application. We just like to know a little about you prior to a meet and greet.
