Courtesy Posting: AVENAL, CA (CENTRAL CA, SOUTH OF FRESNO)- Avenal City Shelter CA SHELTER ASKING FOR HELP- REMOTE RURAL SHELTER- HANDSOME, YOUNGER BLACK CHOW, 'SMOKEY', PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY- NEEDS EXIT ASAP This sweet and handsome young man was found as a stray and is estimated to be only 2 years old, and currently weighs 53 lbs so he is perfectly sized. We have named him Smokey after the shelter reached out to us for help, given this is a remote shelter in a rural area. We are told Smokey is dog friendly and was tested with both males and females. The shelter provide a short video showing him playing nicely with a male german shepherd. He is soon to be neutered but may not be listed yet for adoption, but is available for a $100 adoption fee.
