About Squiggy

This is Squiggy, also known as Mr. Squiggles, or Squiggle Wiggle, a 42-week-old Cattle Dog Border Collie mix, with a black and white coat with brindle patches across his fur. He and his litter were rescued by us on May 23rd, two days after his birth, as the previous owner was unsure of what to do and was considering putting them and their mother down. Since the 23rd of May, we have shown them unconditional love, and they have all been vetted and are fully up to date with all vaccinations. Squiggy is a wonderfully sweet and cuddly dog who loves giving hugs, but also is more than happy to play and run in the yard. He absolutely loves peanut butter. Squiggy weighed 65 pounds at 40 weeks, and is likely to get to be about 80-90 pounds before he is done growing. He is a dog that will excel in a house that has a fenced-in yard, and isn't too high-energy but has lots of love to give. I'm not 100% certain how perfectly house-trained he is, as he lives in a climate-controlled kennel we constructed from part of our garage, but he and his brother both always alert us when they have to go outside to go to the bathroom and neither has had any accident for well over 6 weeks, even being home for 4-5 hours while we ran errands. They are a wonderful rescue group who have been an invaluable help for my family and me over the last few weeks, and they have many other dogs posted on their page. Squiggy's brother, Rusty, is another great dog if you want to look at him. Squiggy and Rusty's other brother, Spike, whom we are keeping, has had a DNA panel done via Embark, and his breakdown goes 44.4% Australian Cattle Dog, 25.5% Border Collie, 10.4% Super-mutt (Collie, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever), 9.4% Australian Cattle Dog, 6% Chow Chow, and 4.3% German Shepherd. So both likely have very similar percentages.
