ROCKY is a 5 year old, 12.2 pound Malti-Poo who was surrendered to us after his owner died. He is a happy, affectionate, and well-behaved little guy who's ready to find a new family. ROCKY is very sweet little boy with a big heart and a lot of love to give. Like many who've lost their previous owners, he can be a bit needy right now and he just wants to be near his person. He follows his foster mom everywhere and loves being petted and fussed over. At night, he sleeps soundly in the big bed and doesn't make a peep until morning. ROCKY does really well with other small dogs. He likes to play with them and with toys, which he also loves. He would be fine a home with other dogs or as an only as long as he gets lots of attention from his people. We do not know how he would be with kids or cats. ROCKY has a big voice for a small dog, and it's definitely on the higher-pitched side, but he's learning to use it less. His foster mom has been working with him on a quieter 'inside voice,' and he's starting to catch on. He also knows 'stay,' though he doesn't love it because he always wants to go! ROCKY rides nicely in the car and loves to look out the window and take in the world around him. He's doing very well with his potty training and is almost fully housebroken with only an occasional accident. A fenced yard would be ideal for ROCKY, as he's a naturally curious boy who loves to explore. He is very interested in what's beyond the gate and would happily trot outside the fence to investigate if given the chance. ROCKY has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida.
