About Tyson

Are you looking for a pumpkin spice dog for the fall season? Tyson is hoping this is his month, and he's all ready for Halloween. While the scars on his face might make him look a bit like Mike Tyson, this sweet boy is a lover and not a fighter. He has led a difficult life surviving abandonment, and was roaming with a pack of 9 other dogs when a kind man started feeding him. When Tyson's eyes got infected, the man brought him to a mobile clinic where his foster mom took him in and nursed him back to health. The scars around his eyes are the only visible signs of his past. He's now the happiest, sweetest dog and has so much love to give! So far, he hasn't met anyone he doesn't like, but especially gravitates towards men. He's also refreshingly unique in that despite being a male dog, he doesn't have to stop and pee on things every 10 feet. He makes a great little hiking buddy but also knows how to chill and doesn't mind spending a day cuddling inside. He's a great option for someone who works a lot during the week but wants an adventure buddy for their weekends. Tyson already knows all the basics. He walks well on leash, loads and rides nicely in the car, is crate and housetrained and well-socialized. He would be a great first dog, but also loves playing with other dogs and would be a great playmate for another dog! Tyson is the kind of dog who could fit in well pretty much anywhere, though we're not quite sure about cats. He's mellow and quiet and would do well in an apartment or condo, could be a good office dog or shop greeter or even an ESA or therapy dog. He's a good reminder that no matter how tough life gets, you can still find love and happiness and good in the world. Tyson is probably around 4 years old and about 40 lbs, fixed, vaccinated, and dewormed. He is currently fostered in Steamboat but transport is available to Summit County or the front range!
