About Scout

Meet Scout, our 6-month-old Anatolian Shepherd. He's a sweet, intelligent, and active young guardian in training. Breed: Anatolian Shepherd (AKC registered) Age: 7 months Health: Up-to-date on all shots, not yet neutered Temperament: Friendly, social, and curious. Great with other dogs and enjoys being around our miniature pony. Does well around kids. Livestock Experience: Lives outside and has been around livestock since birth. Originally intended to guard chickens-he has been exposed to them through fences and on-leash supervision. However, due to his playful, curious nature, he's not yet ready to be left alone with poultry. We've lost 6 chickens to him playing with them when they flew into the pasture without supervision. Ideal Home: A family or farm experienced with livestock guardian dogs who can continue his training and provide consistent guidance. He would do best where he can bond with other dogs or livestock, have space to roam, and a strong, confident handler. Location: Gilbert, AZ (Phoenix area) Scout is a great dog with amazing potential, but he's still young and learning.
