About Wolfie

Wolfie came from an unpleasant situation in KS. At 4.5 years old, he had never been to the vet and his owners weren't even aware that he's deaf. Wolfie is looking for a kind hearted person willing to give him all the love he deserves but never had. Wolfie wants to be loved, have his belly rubbed, snuggle on the sofa, and trust that his new humans will treat him with nothing but kindness. Wolfie is great with other dogs and wouldn't mind a canine friendly companion to show him the ropes. This burnt loaf wants to be near his person most of all so he's looking for someone home more often than not. He's not a good fit for an apartment situation and a fenced in yard is required although he should not be left outdoors unattended. He's learning signs for outside, potty, hello, good boy, and treat and is willing to learn many more. Wolfie has not been tested with cats or kids but he has a lovely even temperament so respectful kids 8+ may be considered. Wolfie goes begrudgingly into his crate for dinner and when the humans leave but he does not like sleeping in one. He prefers to be near his humans at night. Wolfie is mostly potty trained but will need some gentle reminders with lifting his leg in his new home. He likes going for walks and is learning not to pull on the leash. He'll need someone who is willing to walk him daily and watch his weight as he can be a little pushy when it comes to food. He currently weighs 32#.
