Doji's foster mom had this to say about her: Doji was one of a litter of six puppies born March 28th, so she's 6.5 months old. All her siblings were adopted months ago. Why has Doji been overlooked? Seems that Doji is a victim of 'plain Jane' syndrome. All of her siblings had multi-colored markings, while Doji is mostly just plain ol' tan (with beautiful white markings ). But I think God gives something a little extra special to the 'plain' ones. This was confirmed to me yesterday when a visitor to our workplace stopped in my office to see Doji and, after spending just a couple minutes with her, commented not only about how sweet and beautiful she is but also specifically remarked: 'She is special'. %BD%A4%BD After fostering Doji for just a few days, I sure do agree with that. She's slightly timid, but very curious. She's gentle, has been walking excellently on a leash, seems well potty trained, listens well. She LOVES people and snuggles. She loves children, gets along with other dogs and actively avoids my cat. The only thing I've found she needs is a little patience/management with nervous peeing a bit when meeting someone new or if you lean over her too fast. This has been pretty easily managed by not using a high-pitched/excited voice when meeting and don't lean over her. Using those guidelines, she met several people at my office yesterday with no issue! I've talked with a few other fosters and trainers and the general consensus is that this is something she'll grow out of. If you're looking to add a sweet, gentle, snuggly, very special girl to your family, let me know when you'd like to meet Doji!
