About Star

7 year old Star lives up to her name - she's bright, loyal, and ready to shine in her forever home! This affectionate, intelligent girl has a sweet, friendly nature and loves spending time with her people. She's currently in a board-and-train program polishing her manners and leash skills, and she's learning quickly. Star enjoys going on walks, exploring new places, and having playtime with her favorite humans. She does fine with dogs her size or larger in public, but will bark, especially when she sees smaller dogs. She rides calmly once in the car but needs a little help getting into her crate, so a patient hand and gentle encouragement go a long way. Star would do best in a home with prior large-dog experience, where her adopter can continue her training and keep her mentally and physically active. She hasn't been around kids yet, but she's shown to be calm and polite around people of all ages when out in public.
