About Penny

Rottweiler / Saint Bernard
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Penny showed up on our property about 2 years ago. We tried to find owners but after extensive search we decided to keep her after the stray hold. We have an older dog and no matter what we try Penny continues to randomly attack the smaller old dog. She is super smart, beep-collar trained, fantastic with kid and people. She is a super sweet dog but she is just very unpredictable with other dogs. She has attacked my daughter's Husky but gets along great with her GSP. We just never know what is going to trigger her with another dog. We travel all the time and are in campgrounds everywhere so this has become a deal-breaker. We have tried all kinds of training techniques and we thought we might be ok but she attacked the small dog this week again. Its been about 9 months since she exhibited this behavior. As soon as another dog stands their ground Penny goes into attack mode. I dont know if it's from something that happened to her while she was a stray?? She is such a great dog but really needs to be in a one dog house.
