About Oliver

Bonjour! It's me, Oliver-but you can call me Ollie! I'm an 8-year-old Petite Basset Griffon Vend̩en (try saying that three times fast!). In case you don't know, we PBGVs are pretty rare and *tr̬s magnifique*-basically the French supermodels of the dog world! At 24 pounds of pure sweetness, I'm what you might call 'compact cuteness.' My beautiful coat needs regular grooming to keep me looking this dapper, but I'm worth it! Let me tell you about myself: I absolutely LOVE people! I will follow you everywhere, demand your attention (politely, of course), and my favorite thing in the entire universe is BELLY RUBS. Seriously, I will roll over faster than you can say 'good boy!' I'm great with other dogs and even okay with cats who are used to pups like me-though if they run, my chase instinct might kick in (but I promise I mean no harm!). I love zooming around a fenced yard with my foster siblings and soaking up that sunshine! Now a couple of really important things to know about me-I'm epileptic but no worries because it's managed with medication�'�|I take an inexpensive med twice a day with my food (easy peasy). I also have dry eye in one eye but again I'm easy-going and don't fuss when it's time for the eye wash and drops (also inexpensive). I've got excellent house manners when I'm on a regular potty schedule. And at bedtime? I'm a professional snuggle bug who loves sleeping in the big bed-I just need stairs or a little boost to get up and down there safely. I'm the sweetest boy in town looking for my forever family.
