Faith is a 30 lb. pure breed ACD. She has the high energy of the breed, but is also just a total sweetheart. My mother bought two heeler puppies from a breeder in Texas, thinking that it would be good for her dogs to have a buddy. It turned out that 2 puppies were too much to handle! I have taken Faith, now 1 year old, to re-home her. There are many more opportunities for re-homing in this area than there are in Mangum, Oklahoma. Look it up if you want to see how remote it is! After a proper introduction, she has been fine with our cats. She is fine with women, but is nervous around men. It took her some time to warm up to my husband, but they are buddies now. She's very sweet with the neighborhood kids, but I haven't seen her around a very small child. She has nipped the heels of men in the past, and I would be very watchful of her around young children at first. I don't know how she would be around livestock. She LOVES the dog park and is learning how to swim in the river. She is a good running companion. She does not heel well yet, but eventually I think she could be a good agility or rally dog. I don't think she is particularly food motivated. She loves to fetch and will literally play fetch with you all day long. She will also play with her ball on her own. She is potty trained, kennel trained, knows basic commands, and is up to date on all shots. We don't let her on the furniture and she hasn't tried to take food or get food from the table.
