About Shiner

Shiner is a 4-year-old, 30-pound Beagle with a heart as gentle as his soulful brown eyes. He was found as a stray in Delaware County, and we suspect someone may have turned him loose because he wouldn't hunt. The truth is, the only thing Shiner wants to hunt for is a human to love and cuddle with. At night, you'll find Shiner snuggled up in bed with his foster parents - his favorite place to be. During the day, he enjoys romping around with the other dog in his foster home and playing with balls. He loves tossing them around. Shiner is friendly with other dogs and knows how to play nicely. Shiner can be a little shy at first, but give him a few gentle pets and he'll soon be your shadow. He's a quiet Beagle who doesn't howl, and only occasionally lets out a bark when he spots the neighbor dogs. Loud noises still make him a bit nervous, so a calm home will help him feel safe and secure. Shiner will need a physically fenced yard so he can safely run, play, and explore at his own pace. Shiner is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. He is ready to bounce into your life and your lap.
