About Dexter

My name is Dexter the Great (Dane). My human friends say I'm the sweetest, most handsome, boy they know. My brother and I were abandoned at local shelter, which was terrifying. My shelter friends were very nice, but can you imagine such big boys trying to live in kennels? Then, during my neuter surgery, there were some surgical complications and I almost died. My current Mom adopted me in February, 2025, but her schedule changed, and I just can't handle being left home for her long work days. She hates to part with me, but knows it's best. So, once again, I'm looking for my furever family. I love cuddles, pets, and hugs, and, at 107 pounds, the perfect bed warmer. I'm gentle with children, but haven't had any cat friends in my life, so not sure how I will do with them. ZOOMIES in the backyard are a favority activity, so I am looking for a home with a fenced yard. I'd love someone with experience with my breed--I'm a big, energetic boy, and, oh, by the way, no counter space is safe from me! LOL.
