About Blueberry

Meet Blueberry (aka 'Blue') 6-7-month-old Frenchie/Micro Bully mix Blueberry's start was terrifying. A Good Samaritan spotted her lying on her side in the desert-tongue out and barely moving-and feared the worst. Hours later, they drove by again, saw she hadn't moved, and stopped. Blue was alive but dangerously dehydrated. She was rushed to a vet, stabilized, and is now thriving in a loving foster home in the High Desert. In foster, Blueberry has shown us who she really is: a bright, gentle, and resilient little girl who adores kids, plays beautifully with other dogs, and is even kind with kittens. When we pick her up and assure her that she's safe, she literally melts in our arms. We hate to imagine what she's been through to make her so shy-but we're watching her bloom a little more every day. Because of all she's endured, we'll be screening for an adopter who's patient and compassionate-someone who understands that trust takes time, and who will let Blue come out of her shell at her own pace rather than expecting instant affection.
