Meet Bowie - Your future adventure buddy! Bowie is a Border Collie/Collie mix born on May 16, 2025. As of October 10, 2025, he weighed in at 15 lb. Bowie, true to his heritage, is highly intelligent, athletic, curious, a little mischievous and always ready for adventure. A little more about Bowie: - He has excellent recall. - He is now sleeping quietly in the crate through the night, but crate training has not been his favorite as he would prefer to sleep right next to another person or animal. Similarly, he loves being in the car but has a hard time settling when in the back. He prefers to sit right next to a person. - He likes attention and is very social. He plays with the foster's dog-loving cat and snuggles with their six-year-old dog. On walks he greets other dogs and people enthusiastically. He has enjoyed everyone in his foster's family equally, accepting as much play and snuggles as he can get until he crashes out. - He is very alert to noise. Loud noises have startled him, but he recovers quickly. He has barked just a few times as an alert to a noise that he hears. - He gets very excited to go out on walks, to the park, or down to the river and will walk on a leash. He is naturally fetching the ball and loves to run and chase the other dog. He loves toys and interactive games like hide and seek. - Potty training is going very well. As he has become comfortable in his new home he has started to go out on his own to take care of his business. When considering adopting this adorable pup, please research his parents' breed characteristics. As for any puppy, he will need someone who is committed to his training and satisfying his energy needs to help him become the perfect adult dog. Bowie is presently being fostered in Hood River Oregon. He is up to date on his vaccinations and has been wormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.
