FERRIS CAN NOW ONLY BE PULLED FROM THE SHELTER BY A RESCUE GROUP, BUT RESCUES NEED FOSTERS TO SAVE. ON VERY SHORT DEADLINE!!! Please email or dm if interested to foster or foster to adopt, there is no time to waste. WE ARE DESEPRATELY LOOKING FOR A CHOW SAVVY FOSTER (IDEALLY W/ NO OTHER PETS) Ferris is listed as a 4 year old neutered chow, and came into the shelter as a stray. The shelter previously let us he has no behavior or medical issues, and. was described as 'a sweet and friendly boy who's gentle and well mannered. He likes exploring his surroundings, going on walks, and receiving pets. He's easy to handle and he can't wait to be your best friend.' However, the shelter did not dog test, and Ferris was then quickly adopted to a home with a golden retriever. The adopter just returned him for being aggressive towards large dogs in home and on walks. However, they also said, ' Dog is very friendly in the home'. If you are interested in fostering and are local, or local to a rescue in a position to help, or just need more information or want to help, please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement before he is euthanized. His listing link is: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/ORNG/A1933274 but may show as inactive since he is no longer available to adopt through the shelter. To contact the shelter directly IF you are a rescue group, please provide his ID and call Tammy the rescue manager at (714) 796-6425 as well as email: [email protected] to inquire. Again, Ferris is Rescue only and on deadline of 10/15. This means he cannot be adopted through the shelter by the public, one must go through a rescue group before this deadline.
