He is known to be loyal to his property; he loved lying calmly on the front porch and would not leave the premises even when unconfined. Newton is also a composed and quiet observer of nature. He was not bothered by local wildlife such as elk, deer, and turkey, and would not chase them on his own. However, his deep loyalty shines through: if his owner stepped outside, Newton would immediately and diligently chase the animals off the property before returning and remaining at home. He walks well on a lead and is all set to join his new family! Because he does not do well with smaller, younger dogs, Newton will thrive as the only dog in the home.
