About Ranger

We have an 8 year old pure bred sable male German shepherd, Ranger. He is a retired stud dog for a breeder so he is not neutered. We got him 3 years ago from the breeder upon his retirement. He is sweet and gentle, we have three children under 4 and they play all over him, fall on him, play with toys on him and he has never shown any signs of aggression towards them or any other human. He can be reactive with other dogs. I am not sure what causes the reactivity as it is not consistent- we had my parents female golden doodle with us for a few months and he was indifferent to her presence. We have never seen him with cats so I can't speak to how he would react to cats or other household pets. He also has some separation anxiety. We have recently moved in with family and they do not want our dog in the home anymore, so we have until the end of the month to find him a home or else we will have to take him to a pound.
