About Pocco

Silly baby Pocco,this little guy has quite the personality. He is very vocal, as most Chihuahuas are; but he takes his job at protecting those he loves very seriously, even if it's protecting you from a fly. Unfortunately Pocco was at no fault of his own surrendered due to a hoarding situation that he and his brother 'little man' were lucky to escape from! They were so thankful to be saved and have come around immensely since their rescue date! Pocco was never kept indoors so potty training has been a work in progress, but we are getting there and he seems to understand the concept! As you can see from his photos, he does have a few battle scars but he is completely healed and it only makes him look tough! Pocco was not very socialized before our facility, but he has not a single mean bone in his body and is learning that snuggles and love are actually pretty cool! He isn't a huge fan of bigger dogs as he has only been kept with other small dogs for his whole life, but he is very friendly with them and doesn't mind children! Pocco does prefer to be with another animal or a human pretty much all the time because that is what he is used to, but he is very smart and only 8 months old, so adjusting this behavior will not be hard! This handsome boy is about 9 lbs and isn't expected to get too much bigger than he is now, though he will definitely get much more sensitive as his heart is allowed to open up safely. Pocco deserves so much more than what this world has offered him and he is learning so well for what he has been through, with some guidance he would be an amazing family dog or addition to any persons life. He hopes to meet you and find out people aren't so bad after all! Let's find this boy a home before Christmas!
