About Sol

This little pixie is Sol. She is an Australian Cattlr Dog mix who is just over a year old and weighs only 17 pounds. Sol's DNA is as follows: 47% Cattle dog, 16% Chihuahua, 10% Poodle, 6% Pomeranian, 5% Chow Chow, 5% Cocker Spaniel, 5% Yorkshire Terrier. She has all of the ACD coloring and a long tail. Sol is a smartie who knows a lot: Sit, Down, Stay, Go to your bed, Drop it, Leave it, Up, Down, Gentle, and Paw. She is attentive and likes to learn, so is easy to train. Sol is also house and crate trained. Of course, any new home will need to reinforce since she is still a pup. Sol is neutral with new people, really more focused on her people. She is loyal like many herders are. She isn't a fit for little kids or busy households, and will be an amazing pal for someone who feels the same about themselves. Sol is good with dogs of all sizes and does modulates her okay style based on the other dog. Click on the red YouTube button to see her playing. She does think it would be fun to chase squirrels, so likely isn't a fit for a home with a cat. Sol loves a good game of tug. She does like to chase balls but doesn't always bring it back. Sol is good on leash, and better in non-city environments. She is also good in the car. Sol is looking for a home that isn't in a city. She is a countryside or quiet neighborhood kind of gal who will make someone a very happy best buddy. She bonds deeply and is attentive and loyal.��%BD%A0 Off leash she checks in regularly and generally wants to be close.��%BD%A0 Sol is really special. She gives phenomenal 'side eye' and has a huge derpy grin that comes out immediately when she gets to go outside or if there is any hint of a ball being thrown.��%BD%A0 She is opinionated and funny, and also a soft hearted loving goon.��%BD%A0 She is very cuddly but only when she wants which is usually evening and mornings.��%BD%A0 She is sharply attentive and so excited to play and train and work and be outside and meet other dogs and go to new places.��%BD%A0 When she is on her walks, sometimes she walks up to her reflection in car after car.��%BD%A0 Maybe it's the motion that draws her, but we like to think she knows she's stunning and needs a moment to appreciate herself.��%BD%A0��%BD%A0 Sol is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. She is located in Oakland, CA. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt. She is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt in this area.
