About STARFISH

Starfish is a shy and beautiful little girl who urgently needs a new home. Her owner has health issues and is doing her best, but she's struggling. She also has children and realizes she is unable to care for Starfish. 'I'm really hoping to find her a home. The only other alternative I have is our local animal shelter.' They have had Starfish since she was a puppy. Name: Starfish Age: Will be 6 in December Breed: Chihuahua/Feist (12 pounds) Sex: Female (spayed per owner) Location: Wilkes County NC Vet Info: Starfish is spayed and up to date on vaccines per her owner. She has not had a heartworm test. Dog Info: Starfish is an indoor dog with run of the house. She also has a crate that she likes to stay in sometimes. We're told she is housebroken and leash trained. Starfish is described as nervous and shy, but she's a friendly girl, and we're told she's good with people of all ages, male and female dogs, and cats. She currently lives with three children, the youngest is 15 months, and she's very gentle with him. Her owner has no other pets, but Starfish grew up with a cat and is fine with the neighbors' dogs. She does bark sometimes, but has never bitten or snapped or shown aggression. Starfish has not known anything but her current home, and being timid, may have difficulty adjusting. Her owner believes she has glaucoma as her eyes are a bluish color and appear somewhat swollen, but there were financial issues and this has not been officially diagnosed. She appears to have some sight, but will run into doors, and some days, especially rainy days, Starfish struggles with her sight and they have to carry her outside. Other than her vision, we're told Starfish is healthy. Starfish's owner wants us to know what a sweet girl she is! She loves to go on errands in the car and wants to be with you at all times.
