**Hi there, wonderful humans! JD here-and yes, it stands for Just Delightful!** At least that's what my foster mom keeps telling me. I'm one of the lucky Coastal Cavaliers who came from a breeder surrender to a local shelter, and let me tell you-life is SO much better on this side! My past was pretty rough with hardly any human contact, but now? Now I'm making up for lost time, one cuddle at a time! I'm a 10-year-old Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel boy weighing in at a perfect 12 pounds of pure sweetness. When I meet people, I act like they've been gone for YEARS-because in my world, they kind of have been! I'm discovering that humans are actually pretty amazing, especially when they have laps available for a professional cuddler like myself. My foster mom says I've earned top marks in Advanced Snuggling, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I absolutely adore other dogs and love playing with my furry friends. Mealtime is my favorite time (I have my very own bowl-fancy, right?), and I'm working hard on this whole housetraining thing. Some days I'm a rockstar! Leash walks are an adventure because WOW, the world smells INCREDIBLE. Every tree, every bush, every blade of grass has a story to tell! I'm learning commands too, especially when treats are involved (I mean, who can resist that kind of motivation?). I'll carry toys around, but let's be honest-those lizards that actually MOVE are way more interesting! My foster mom loves brushing my super-soft ruby coat, and I just sit there like the little gentleman I am. She says it's going to get even longer and more luxurious-apparently that's a King Cavalier thing! I'm looking for a patient, attentive forever family who will help me continue becoming my best doggie self. I've got so much love to give and so many more cuddles to share.
