About PEBBLES

PEBBLES is a 6 year old male Pomeranian who weighs just 6 pounds. He is a sweet boy who was owner surrendered to find a new home. PEBBLES is a very quiet, gentle little boy who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved. He can be timid at first, but if you approach him slowly with your hands out and let him know he's a 'good boy,' he'll sit down and allow you to pick him up. Once in your arms or on the sofa, he's content to stay close and enjoy the comfort of being with his person. He loves to sit with his foster mom and her Poms, and he'll happily stay there until it's time to go out. PEBBLES does well with other small dogs and definitely needs another dog in the home to help him feel secure. He especially loves other Poms, but he has also done well with other small companions. Because of his tiny size and his tendency to guard food a little, he shouldn't be placed with much larger dogs or kids. PEBBLES is making good progress with housebreaking. He's learning both outside potty training and pad training, and he watches the other dogs closely to figure out what to do. He is not least trained and a fenced yard is a must. At night, he sleeps quietly in his crate, though he would probably enjoy snuggling in bed if given the chance. Like many dogs from his situation, PEBBLES didn't receive a lot of socialization, so he is still learning what it means to be a beloved companion. His foster mom describes him as incredibly sweet and easy to love, the kind of dog who makes you want to scoop him up and hold him close. With patience, another friendly dog, and a gentle family, he is sure to blossom into the wonderful companion he was meant to be. PEBBLES has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, has had a much-needed dental, where he lost nearly all of his teeth except for his front canines, is heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally.
