About Rocky

Rocky is a dog that we got 2 and a half years ago. He is a very affectionate dog that is very clingy to his family and especially to who trains and predominantly cares for him. He is very hyper, as to be expected from a Husky. He plays rough, he likes to play tug-of-war, wrestle, and run... A LOT. He does play nip though. Not to bite hard. But some of these breeds do some nips when they play. Although it is good to still be careful. He is very reactive to other dogs and overall needs behavioral training on how to respond to dogs and animals properly. He does not know how to handle small dogs and animals well as he does not really understand how much stronger he is. He very much has a puppy-mindset. He is very hyper and friendly towards... Anyone. Probably not the best bet if you are looking for a guard dog. The only thing he may guard is his pork bone at best. He does have a scratch on one of his eyes which you can see in the image and his pupil has never fully healed. We are wanting to rehome him due to the extensive care and attention required which is hard to do when we have a family member who has medical issues and we may need to move within the next months to a place which will more than likely not accept large dogs. Fair warning: We do not have his original papers and documentation as when we got him we never received any of that information. His vaccination statuses are unknown and probably needs a health checkup at a vet and up-to-date vaccinations. He is around 3 1/2 years old approaching 4 this winter. We want him to go to someone who is experienced with larger and highly-active dogs that has the space, time, and energy to give him what he needs as well as keep him safe and happy.
