Pacman is a very energetic border collie that has been with me since 2018. I adopted him in 2018 from Adams county pet rescue. His mother was a pure breed but they where unsure about the father. They named him and it just stuck. He is anxious when meeting new people and will bark but has not shown to be aggressive. The fastest way for him to warm up to new people is to throw his ball. He needs a home with a yard to get out his energy. He does well on walks and will ignore others on the sidewalk/trails. I've taken him off leash in the wood and he has done very well with that to. He is not a very cuddly dog and doesn't tend to snuggle up with people however it does happen on occasion. That being said he is a very loving dog who wants to be your buddy. He does like to be pet and loves it when you scratch the inside of his ears. He did go through training when he was two at PetSmart and has retained most of it expect for 'stay'. Durning thunderstorms or firework shows he shows Indifference and has not negatively reacted to either. Several years ago he was attacked by a neighbor dog the injury left him with paw trauma. He doesn't like it when they are touched and if they are he runs to his kennel. The reason I'm looking to rehome him is because he's living in a home with a small child who is starting to walk. Before they never had issues but the child grabbed his paw while walking and he reactively nipped at them. This is the only time his responded like this and it was a reactive nip. He has not shown any signs of aggression before and is possible he stays away from the child but with them walking rehoming seems to be his best bet at a happy and healthy life. There is talk of putting him down if a new home can not be found soon but that is not an option I want think about and things are in the air right now.
