A Day in the Life, of Ricky who we actually believe is a Carolina Dog mix (as told by Ricky himself) Dear Diary, Today was a very good day. I woke up in my cozy crate, gave a big stretch, and was greeted by one of my favorite volunteers. They told me I was a 'handsome boy' - which, between you and me, is 100% accurate. After breakfast (no cheese, but I forgive them), I headed outside with my dog crew. We sprinted around the yard like it was the Indy 500. I may be fast, but I'm also polite - I get along with everyone, even that one little dog who thinks he's in charge. Mid-morning was hike time. I love our outdoor adventures, especially when I get to trot beside my favorite two-legged people. I stayed close, sniffed a lot of trees, and only slightly pretended to chase a squirrel. After our hike, I chilled out for a bit. I like to relax near my humans - I don't need to be glued to you, but I do enjoy your company. Especially if snacks are involved. Speaking of which, someone opened the cheese drawer today. I don't want to say it changed my life%BD'%BD| but it kind of did. Now I'm winding down, dreaming of belly rubs, more cheese, and maybe finding a forever home with someone who loves me as much as I'll love them. That's it for now, Diary. I'll be here waiting - crate trained, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to start my next chapter. Love, Ricky (P.S. Did I mention I love cheese?) P.P.S.
