Meet Birdie - Senior Pomeranian, 10 Years Old and Approximately 10lbs Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Mays Landing, New Jersey for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Birdie is a gentle, shy senior Pomeranian who is looking for a calm, patient forever home. She originally came to us from a difficult situation and made wonderful progress in her foster home. Birdie was recently adopted, but due to unexpected changes in her adopter's life, she has returned to foster care through no fault of her own. Birdie gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. She relies on the presence of another dog for comfort, so a home with at least one friendly, calm dog is required. She is a quiet, reserved girl who watches everything around her with curiosity, and with time and kindness she continues to build confidence. She is pee pad trained and still working on full housetraining. Birdie is hard of hearing (possibly deaf), but her vision is good, she tolerates grooming well, and she is in overall good health. What is great about Birdie, is she only needed a cleaning at the vet!
