About Hooptie

Hooptie is a sweet, gentle corgi with a winning smile. She is 6 1/2 years old, about 25 pounds and has made the journey to Colorado to find her forever home. She was surrendered by her owner in Kansas when she could no longer care for her. She is a little bit shy at first meeting but is very friendly. She walks well on a leash especially if she is given a change to mosey around and sniff often. Hooptie loves to lean into your face and catch you with wet kisses when you are talking to her. She enjoys being petted. Hooptie is house broken, pretty quiet, and easy going for a Corgi. Being a mature lady, she would rather spend her days relaxing after her walks. She will sleep quietly through the night in her crate, though she is not a fan of actually getting into it. She is very food motivated and treats help with the process. She hasn't had a lot of training or learned cues yet, but she is willing to learn and earn those treats. Her history with cats and young children is unknown, but older, respectful children in her new family would be considered. She is dog friendly, but not that interested in playing. She would do best with another easy going dog or as a pampered only pet. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
