About Boomer

Boomer is a young lovable pup with unlimited energy. A very personable dog with a love for playtime and cuddles. He gets a long with all people wether little kids or the elderly. He enjoys playing with other dogs but would be fine in a home where he is the only pet. Boomer is not good with cats. He loves to play with cats, but they usually don't appreciate the chasing. Boomer is great eater, but shows guarding behavior with people food. This aggression is easily corrected, but boundaries will need to be set. He will also snatch food, so it is best if Boomer does not stay with small children who can't keep food away from him. Boomer will also either need to be in a house with a family of people, or need to be with someone willing to give him plenty of attention. He needs to be regularly walked as he is still full of puppy energy at just short of 2yrs old. So far boomer understands the basic commands and is also crate and potty trained. Grooming wise Boomer has minimal shedding, but will need to have his curly fur brushed to prevent knots, and the hair above his eyes trimmed so it doesn't mess with his eyes. He currently free roams my house and knows to use the doggy door to go to the bathroom in my small urban backyard. Boomer does need additional training with he is leash. He currently likes to pull while walking, and occasionally tries to chase the cars driving by. Boomer is a relatively quite dog with a deeper bark for his size. Despite living in a urban area surrounded by activity, he seems to only ever bark when someone is at the door or other neighborhood dogs start barking. Due to some personal health issues, I am no longer able to care for this little love bug. I am looking to try and get Boomer a more permanent home with a fenced in yard or athletic owner. There is a non-refundable $200 rehoming fee. This will include food, bowls, toys, leash, harness, and small crate if desired.
