About Sophie

Meet Sophie, a super sweet and loving 61-pound female border collie mix. This 1.75 year-old dog is very attentive to humans, and is a real gem. She will turn two in December and her birthday wish is to be in her new home by then so she can have something really cool to celebrate! Sophie enjoys country living, playing with and gathering her toys, going for walks and hikes, hanging out with her person or people, and mealtimes! She is also very smart and is taking to training at her foster home quite quickly. For example, Sophie is still timid of strangers and new places but does handle it fairly well and with training and continued socialization she should come along nicely. While not 100% reliable yet, she has a very good recall when loose or off-leash. She is good with horses, cats, and goats, with small groups of dogs as long as she is fed separately, and LOVES people! She is housebroken and crate trained. Sophie will need a 6-foot fence if you want to contain her, but she loves to be with her people and will stay close by them. She is an active dog and will be an excellent hiking and trail buddy. Sophie is presently being fostered in Southeastern Oregon. She spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.
