Meet Rocky - The English Bulldog With Big Energy and an Even Bigger Heart! Surgery support provided - just need the right person! Let me tell you about Rocky - a hilarious, stubborn, wildly lovable English Bulldog, approximately 6 years old (though the vet thinks he may be younger!). He's fully vetted, microchipped, and has already been through one big surgery for a hernia. His next hurdle is an ACL surgery, which we are ready to cover - we just need someone who can provide the post-op care and TLC he deserves. Even a foster home would help tremendously. Personality & Needs: Rocky is strong, hyper, and hilarious. He will have you laughing and questioning your life choices all in the same day. He's not for first-time dog owners - this boy needs structure, patience, and a sense of humor. No young kids. He will knock them over and nibble on arms when he gets excited. Not trustworthy with toys around other dogs - toy aggression is real, so he's best as the only dog in the home. Not cat-friendly - will chase them right off the property. Needs daily exercise to calm down - after a good session, he does mellow out. Crate-trained at night, but not a fan of being crated during the day. Great in the car if buckled in - otherwise, he'll jump right out the moment the door opens. Rocky has a signature bulldog shuffle - he won't sneak up on you! Medical:: Torn ACL - doesn't slow him down, but surgery is recommended. Surgery will be fully covered by us if we find a committed foster or adopter who can manage his recovery. Already cost us over $4,000 for his first surgery - but he's worth it. He's active, alert, and strong as a bull - literally. A Few Rocky Moments (So You Know What You're In For): Escaped his harness at a rest stop and gave us a heart attack chasing a trucker and his dog (thankfully, everyone was okay). Dragged us around PetSmart trying to grab every toy in sight - people were laughing, we were sweating. Needed a whole team just to fit him for a harness. By the time we got home, we needed a nap more than he did. Chased all the cats off the property like a furry tank on a mission. Ideal Home: Must be experienced with strong breeds. No kids, no other pets - no exceptions. Must be in New Jersey Foster or adopter who can manage his energy, help with recovery if surgery is done, and handle his bulldog antics. We truly love this dog. He's got the kind of goofy charm that turns heads everywhere we go - and the personality to match. But he needs a home that can give him more than we can right now: attention, boundaries, recovery, and love. Rocky is ready to bulldoze his way into your heart.
