Concerns: Previous owner reported a shoe fetish not seen in foster care. BIOGRAPHY Meet Socks! Socks was surrendered to rescue by his owner. He previously lived in the suburbs with his family, including 3 young children. While he is definitely majority Sheltie, we also suspect that he may have either Border Collie or Australian Shepherd in him as well, as evidenced by his natural athletic ability. This sweet young pup is ready to find his forever family. He's curious, playful, and energetic, but also loves to snuggle. He's smart and already knows basic commands like sit and stay and is totally house trained. He can be left alone with free run of the home as long as you do not leave interesting things out, such as food on the counter or a silicone hot plate hanging within reach! If he does get into something he knows he shouldn't, when you show it to him (this was my falafel!) he will take himself to his crate! Socks is the perfect mix of fun and affection, whether he's following you around the house, soaking up belly rubs, munching on a Kong or going for a long walk. He's great on a leash and loves greeting other dogs. He can be a little shy around people at first, but he warms up quickly and his stunning appearance and super soft fur make him irresistible. His foster mom recently took him to a fundraising event and discovered that Socks is not only a Frisbee champ, but loves to play fetch, so an active adopter family who will engage him in fun outdoor activities is a must!
