About Barley, Ernie, Eddie

Shelter Dog adopted 12 Mar 2020 as 'Barley' Cared for by same owners from 2020-2025 when owners were moved to hospice care. Family friend started care for him on 16 Sept 2025; but 'Ed' broke out to go back home. Found as stray 20 Sept 2025 with healing scratches on neck(small). Medical records name 'Eddie' owner calls him 'Ernie'. Lived with 2 other small dogs. Can slip collars easily due to amount of fluff, but has only done it to chase people down for scratches and cuddles. Nervous in cars (shakes), chases lizards, does not like kennel but will sleep in one if covered with a blanket. Preferes to eat and drink when people are around. Previously potty trained with doggie door, currently kept leashed while outside unless in secured area. Normal diet Pedigree, Temp diet Purina dry (not a fan), Wellness wet (inhales quickly), and Instinct frozen (eats slow until thawed). Has no fear of large dogs and will approach even if the large dog barks or growls. Hides behind people from cats. Prefers to cuddle at all times if possible.
