Meet Taquito the tiny, taco-sized Chihuahua with a personality that's larger than life (and definitely bigger than his 11 pounds)! At 8 years old, Taquito has mastered the art of cuddling, toy wrangling, and looking ridiculously cute in a blanket burrito. He came to us as a local owner surrender when his humans could no longer give him the care he deserves. He gets along with both dogs and cats, but honestly, he'd be thrilled to have your undivided attention as the solo superstar in his new home. House training? Taquito wrote the book. He'll use a dog door like a pro and is always ready for a quick trot out to the yard (bonus points if you have a fence, but he's flexible). He's not a fan of car rides, probably because he suspects the car only leads to 'the place where the thermometer goes.' But with some positive experiences, he might change his tune. Toys are his jam, and walks are always on the menu. Taquito gets free rein in his foster home, no kennels for this king. He will happily nest in a pile of blankets or dog beds like a canine croissant. Taquito is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. He is ready to bounce into your life and your lap. If you'd like to meet Taquito, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. Questions? Email [email protected] or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300
