About Hans

Hans is a energetic cuddle bug. He loves walks, runs, hikes and general chasing around. When his physical needs are met he will cuddle on you as long as you will let him. He protects his family like a Belgian Malinois would be expected to and is gentle with strangers when they approach him with calmness. He is a goof ball who loves to play, sniff out treats and sit and watch the birds. Hans needs two walks a day, brief 30 minutes around the neighborhood in order to meet his physical needs. In addition he loves playings with his toys, his owner or running aorund the yard. Hans would excel in a home that has time for his physical needs, and also understands he can sleep for hours in his crate once his walk is over. Hans also loves to people watch on the balcony and watch other dogs walk by! Hans has lived with a toddler since he was brought home, and plays gently with other kids. He interacts with other dogs well, though needs a little support when playing with other dogs - he gets VERY excited and will sometimes forget the other dog doesnt want to play. He would best in a home with a yard where he can run, sniff and play freely. True to his breed, hans does need mental stimulation that he has loved during his time in training (sniff work - find it, commands, eye contact on command etc). Hans has not yet been exposed to other animals other then dogs. Hans has completed a 5 week training with a local AKC training certified team. He worked on commands, attention, and tolerating being around other dogs. Hans is crate trained, is used to a pinch collar though is good on walks and runs. He is house trained, knows commands - sit, down, stay, come, heel, around, find it, eyes). Hans has lived with a toddler since he was brought home, and plays gently with other kids.
