About Thor

PLEASE HELP SAVE THOR! Thor's story is absolutely heartbreaking. Thor was one of Skye's surprise litter. Skye had been adopted from the Riverside Shelter, and just days later, she gave birth to four beautiful puppies. Skye was so thin at the time that the shelter had no idea she was pregnant. Skye's owner reached out to Jennifer with Pumpkin Pawz Rescue to help find good homes for the puppies. Three of the pups found wonderful, loving homes. I even fostered one myself, little Sylvie- she was full of life, easy to train, and an absolute joy, just like all of her siblings. But Thor's story didn't go the same way. He was given to a 'friend' who promised to give him a great life. Sadly, that promise was broken. Fast forward almost 3 years later- Thor has been found abandoned and neglected, thin and matted, and brought to the Pasadena Humane Society by a Good Samaritan. He deserved so much better. Thor is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky/Malamute mix (born 9/1/22). He is sweet, gentle, and absolutely stunning with the most gorgeous crystal blue eyes. He is neutered and ready for a second chance. His siblings are thriving in their forever homes. Thor deserves the same love and security. Thankfully, the chip traced him back to his original family (the one who adopted his mom, Skye at the Riverside Shelter), who are now desperately trying to help him find a safe, loving home and has asked for Jennifer's help again. Thor needs the community's help. The so-called 'friend' who took him won't even answer the phone. This is Thor's plea for a real forever family. He didn't ask for this, and his life is on the line at the shelter. Please don't let him be another sad statistic.
