Meet Roman Roman is a stunning Saluki who was rescued from a hoarding backyard breeder in Brownsville, Texas-a case that even made the news. Despite his difficult past, Roman has proven to be one of the kindest, most gentle souls you could ever meet. He is still very cautious around people, but never unkind. Roman simply prefers a calm, predictable routine where he can feel safe. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and has a quiet, peaceful presence that makes him a true old soul. Roman does have Chagas disease, but he is currently thriving on Dr. Madigan's treatment protocol and doing remarkably well. With continued care, patience, and love, Roman has every chance to live a wonderful, happy life.
