Lucky was surrendered by an owner with no time to care for him. He is a very handsome guy, but is struggling in a shelter environment. Lucky is a German Shepherd, which means he thrives on a human bond, mental and physical stimulation and love. It is difficult to provide that one on one nurturing in a kennel. Lucky's breed was intended to have a job, meaning he should never be bored. Boredom leads to bad habits quickly. Lucky is not just a handsome guy; he is absolutely gorgeous, one of the best looking shepherds we have had in a long time. He has done well with other dogs his size but we would not place him with a small dog or cat. Lucky tested positive for heartworms on arrival, possibly a result of being kept outside. He will be treated here by our amazing medical team. Lucky will absolutely do best with an adopter who has German Shepherd experience. For more information and/or an application to adopt, email [email protected]. Lucky is neutered, microchipped, and current on core vaccines.
