About Hazel

Hazel is a very happy, 4.5 year old, 14 lbs pup (at heart). She loves playing with toys and wrestling/running with dogs of all sizes. Hazel really enjoys walks, too! She joined MHCR as a mama to 3 pups from a very poorly funded shelter in Texas. She was very shy and did not have any idea what it meant to be a beloved family pet. With time and patience, she has learned the ropes and is thriving in foster care. She is still slow to warm up to new people, so a busy home is likely not the best idea for her. Hazel would love to have a dog or two in her new home and would love a yard. Due to her shy nature, these two items are non-negotiables for her. She enjoys, burying herself under blankets and snuggling at the feet of people she loves, so a home with plenty of blankets is a must! A couple of added bonuses to our sweet girl: she seems to be very well house trained and she recently had a dental!
