Awful update: Frankie will now be killed on 10/6 due to space!!! Please save this gorgeous boy!!! 'FRANKIE' ID #A2212965: URGENT AT LA CITY SHELTER WHICH IS FULL - LOS ANGELES ANIMAL SERVICES- SOUTH LOS ANGELES SHELTER- ADORABLE, YOUNG AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD/ CHOW. NEEDS LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE ADOPTER OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP TO SAVE HIS LIFE, BEFORE HE IS EUTHANIZED FOR SPACE! Video: https://fb.watch/CsgOk2N3iK/?mibextid=wwXIfr&fs=e Help! This LA City shelter is full, and Frankie has been declining the shelter environment and his kennel since being found as a stray and ending up at the shelter on 8/1. He is a very handsome boy who is estimated to be 3 years young and weighs only 56 lbs so he is perfect size. Listed and likely mislabeled as german shepherd/chow mix, Frankie has sadly been overlooked. With his gorgeous tri color markings, he resembles an Australian shepherd, possibly with some chow. The shelter neutered him shortly after coming into the shelter, but after that, he came down with an URI and was placed on antibiotics for several weeks, and only was finally marked clear as of 9/7. Now that he is feeling better, he did much better in playgroup on 9/15, but was previously noted as being less tolerant of males and giving warning signs for space. Therefore, if you have another dog, a slow introduction is highly recommended, and calm dogs and females or no dogs may be best.
