About Star

Star is a 1 yr old husky mix. She is an absolutely incredible dog! She is playful, affectionate (loves giving gentle kisses!), curious, and obedient. She is SUPER smart and loves training- knows 'sit', 'stay', 'come', and is working on 'off' and 'down'. She is fabulous on leash and loves to run, but doesn't pull much. She is gentle taking treats and is quite food motivated. She is intuitive to people and will often know what you want without needing a verbal command. She is cuddly and snuggly- preferring to sit/lie near you on the couch or bed, but will also relax well on the floor. She was great when we took her to an outdoor restaurant and settled quickly (though we were the only people there). Star needs a family that can provide structure, routine, training, exercise, and lots of affection. She must be the only dog in the house. She displayed aggression toward our senior male lab mix, mostly growling but did attack a few times in close proximity. However, sometimes she ignored him and was completely fine. Her reactivity/aggression towards other dogs is just unpredictable, and we don't know if it's all dogs or just ours. Star never showed aggression towards people and in fact bonds very quickly and easily. She has a bit of separation anxiety (she barks and whines when left alone) but it could be just getting used to a new space. We have two kids (age 1 and 4) and Star has been VERY good with them. Gently affectionate and playful. She is such a good girl and will make a fabulous companion, exercise partner, and family dog. She is spayed and updated on vaccines. Star deserves a wonderful, loving home.
