About Annie

Adoption Fee: $300
Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Annie This beautiful and adorable two-year old Australian Cattle dog (or blue heeler) is amazing! We pulled Annie out of a high kill shelter as they were about to euthanize her for space. She is a doll. We're so glad we had the chance to give her a second chance at our no-kill shelter. With us she can have as long as it takes to find her forever home. Annie is petite, weighing about 30 lbs. She has the softest coat, thick and luxurious, laughing eyes, a warm smile, and a happy demeanor. Annie is calm and quiet, very smart, and athletic. Annie has a lightness about her where she practically prances as she explores and checks her surroundings. She also has a comforting spirit and just seems to be an old soul in a young dog's body. It just feels good to be around Annie. She loves everyone she meets. She is friendly and affectionate. Annie likes other dogs and has been giving great comfort to our young pup, June Bug. People and dogs gravitate towards her. Annie is not mouthy. She doesn't bark a whole lot either. From the minute we met Annie, we fell in love with her incredible demeanor. Annie is going to be a terrific companion. She loves attention and will fold herself into your lap for some snuggles, scritches and hugs. Annie walks nicely on a leash and travels well. We'll get Annie fixed before going home, but other than that this young pup is ready to go to her forever home. If you love a heeler, Annie is perfect. If you want to give a wonderful young dog a second chance and most likely the first chance at love, get your application in at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter ([email protected]) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
